Here’s when it first started. This is what I see when I look out our front door.
Here’s a picture of the south side of the house looking out. In this picture you can still see the grass. (that didn’t last long!)
This picture was taken after my husband got home. (that’s his white work van) You can see the grass is now covered with snow. The vehicle on the other side of the van is a GMC Yukon we bought this summer to hold all my show materials. It replaced a white panel van we previously had. We now refer to the Yukon as “The Beast” because it is so big.
A picture of my plants. I brought in my tomato plants as well as basil & rosemary before the temperatures got too cold. This room you see is the ‘envelope’ part of the solar envelope house we live in. During the winter this room heats up to around 80F when the sun is out. It helps to heat the house in the winter. In the summer we have shades we drop to keep the room from heating up so much.
And finally, here is a picture of just some of the woods surrounding our house.
